Fishing fun in Wales

Collage of residents enjoying fishing

Jon and Dom enjoyed a fishing holiday to Newport, Pembrokeshire. They stayed in a lovely house that was completely accessible and enjoyed days out in the town, a visit to the village of Cardigan and playing board games such as Monopoly and Cluedo.

The pair were excited to have the opportunity to fish at the Yet-Y-Gors lake a couple of times. The owners of this wheelchair and disability friendly site were extremely helpful, lending Jon and Dom their own fishing rods and providing bait free of charge. They both managed to catch lots of fish, which they then released back into the lake. The owners also gave our facilitators Dave A, Paul and Meg a lesson in how to set up the fishing rods and catch fish.
