Fun and games for Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s Day this year residents met to discuss their ideas and agreed to celebrate the occasion with a disco, a quiz using Kahoot – a game-based learning platform – and a tasty buffet. They worked with staff to design and make posters, decorations and even special certificates to serve as prizes on the day, including awards for Best Dressed, Best Singer and Best Dancer.

After a hotly fought competition, Kim, Dom and Emma D clinched these prizes respectively. ‘I really liked that I won the prize of Best Dressed as I bought my dress especially for the party!’ said Kim. Thanks to Zoom, our residents were thrilled to be joined for their disco by residents at Ledbury Road in Hereford. ‘Virtual meetups between different residences is something we are hoping to continue for future discos and events,’ said Jess Hobson, Senior Facilitator at Foundation House.
