Meet…Carly

Carly

Congratulations to Carly who has been promoted from Senior Facilitator to Deputy Manager at Foundation House! Carly’s role will take effect from September. Let’s get to know her…

Before National Star I…was at Northampton University, studying for a Health and Social Care degree.

I wanted to work for National Star because…I had previously worked in a school with young children with various disabilities as part of a university placement. I really enjoyed it and realised that I wanted to work with young people who have learning and physical disabilities long-term.

In my role I…like being able to work behind the scenes with the management team on Foundation House’s goals for the residents. I particularly enjoy organising training for staff and in my new role as deputy work on training for the residents. Right now I’m loving planning fun activities for us all to do throughout the summer.

In my spare time I like to…spend time with my family and friends. I like taking our dog on walks and exploring new places to visit.

If I were a Little Miss character I would be…Little Miss Kind.

The most rewarding part about working at National Star is…the room to grow. The support I have been given for the past 7 years has been amazing. Also, being able to work in long-term living and watch the residents grow and succeed is rewarding.
