Fun activities at home

Over the past few months we’ve continued to be creative when it comes to organising fun and entertaining activities for our residents to enjoy at home. Recent events include pizza making, a cinema night (complete with tickets and popcorn) and a garden tea party to mark National Nutrition and Hydration Week. The purchase of a new paddling pool has provided some cool relief on hot sunny days and residents have loved splashing around in the water. We also very much enjoyed following England’s progress in Euro 2021.

‘As much as we love getting out and about, we also love making the best of the home environment with in-house activities,’ said Kerry Hatcher, Residential Manager at Ledbury Road.

‘We will continue to provide activities that we know the residents will enjoy. We have just trialled a Zoom music session that went down well, so we will make it a regular event. We are also hoping to get some adaptive switches that will help residents be as independent as possible while baking.’

Over the coming weeks we will order some raised planters for Ledbury Road’s garden, enabling residents to grow their own produce.
