Kindness and compassion

We are thrilled that our long-term accommodation has been rated as ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) after inspectors made an unannounced visit in November.

During the visit inspectors observed that staff supported the residents with ‘kindness and compassion.’ They were also impressed that residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives.

Inspectors commented that care was ‘person-centred’, medicine is administered safely and PPE used effectively.

Director of Services John Mann said: ‘Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 over the past 12 months, Kerry Hatcher and her team have continued to ensure the young adults in their care are empowered to control how they live their lives, getting involved in local community activities, pursuing hobbies and going on holiday.’

Ledbury Road was also visited by Environmental Health and scored a fantastic 5 thanks to our cook Sammy’s hard work and excellent record keeping.
