A merry Christmas at MatrixCare

Christmas at MatrixCare, Malvern
Andy, James and John enjoyed a variety of fun, festive activities leading up to Christmas.

From building a nativity scene and making Christmas decorations to taking part in National Star’s hotly-anticipated door decorating competition, imaginations were sparked and residents were able to get creative.

We even enjoyed a special visit from local social club Malvern Round Table, who stopped by with offerings of Christmas biscuits.

On Christmas Day the residents opened presents under the tree, which included a new karaoke machine for them to enjoy, and then donned their aprons to get involved in making dinner. The meal was especially popular with John, who when asked what he had enjoyed most over Christmas, replied: ‘Roast potatoes!’

‘Despite all of the restrictions and changes due to Covid-19, the residents have adapted so well, and always with a smile on their faces,’ said Beata Martin, Senior Facilitator at MatrixCare.

‘We’re continuing to have as much fun as possible and are looking towards 2021 with the hopes of things getting back to normal.’
