Staying connected
Like for many of us, lockdown has meant that residents have been feeling more detached from their family than usual. Staff have been supporting them to communicate with family members using their preferred methods. For John, this has been twice-weekly video calls with his mum and phone calls with other family members.
James has been keeping in contact with his parents through the writing and sending of cards and letters, a method of communication he looks forward to and one that often prompts lots of fond memories to talk about. Andy continues to enjoy weekly visits from his mum.
