We go green

In February a green event at MatrixCare enabled residents to explore the environment and consider how everyone can contribute towards protecting it. The group discussed recycling, and using materials they found around the house, embraced their creativity to make models of animals.

They also used paint, paper and cling film to explore different shapes and colour combinations, using their hands to feel the paint and enjoying the sensory input. Once dried, this artwork was used to cut out heart shapes and messages about the environment. James laminated his work and helped to tie the hearts to MatrixCare’s front garden railings as a reminder to think of the environment.
