Job description
National Star is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Catering Assistant to join our team at our Ullenwood site on the outskirts of Cheltenham to provide a full catering service to students, staff and visitors.
You will work an 8 hour shift each Saturday or Sunday (typically 8 am – 4 pm or 10 am – 6 pm ) although you may be asked to work additional hours or different shifts according to the needs of our students. The rate of pay for weekend hours is £13.19 per hour – for additional shifts you may do during the week the rate of pay is £10.55 per hour.
Working as an important part of the team, you will perform various duties including some food preparation, serving food, keeping the equipment and work areas clean, assisting the chef with the smooth running of the area, cash handling.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, however this is not essential and full training will be provided.
Please note that as you will be working in an environment with vulnerable young adults, you will need to be a minimum of 18 years old to join us in this role. You will also need to be able to arrange your own transport to our site in Ullenwood as we are not on a public transport route.
