Job description
National Star is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Catering Assistant to join our team at our Ullenwood site on the outskirts of Cheltenham (GL53 9QU) to provide a full catering service to students, staff and visitors.
You will work term time only, 32 hours a week over 40 weeks (including alternate weekends) with 8.am – 4 pm and 10 am – 6 pm shifts. You may be asked to work additional hours or different shifts according to the needs of our students.
Working as an important part of the team, you will perform various duties including some food preparation, serving food, keeping the equipment and work areas clean, assisting the chef with the smooth running of the area, cash handling.
Previous experience is required for this role and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable,
Interviews will be held throughout the advertised period so please apply early as applications will close as soon as the position is filled. The interview process will in two stages, held at our Ullenwood site and consist of an interview with panel and if successful a second interview will be practical time in the kitchen. You can expect to be with us for up to 3hrs for the second interview.
