Job description
National Star’s student provision at Ullenwood, requires a Deputy Manager to work alongside the Residential Service Manager in one of it’s residences for students with learning and physical disabilities.
As the Deputy Manager you will work alongside the Residential Manager and the team, ensuring that the highest standards of care and support are provided. You will promote and maintain high standards through effective people management, quality assurance processes and leading by example.
You will work closely with all students, and their families, ensuring they are able to live their lives as independently as possible, supporting their wellbeing and acting on their feedback.
You will be self-motivated, pro-active and enjoy using your own initiative to provide solutions and achieve great outcomes. You will have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, and be able to implement those plans effectively.
You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or above in health or social care alongside a minimum of two years’ care experience, you should also have some experience of people management, although not necessarily in a care setting.
As a Deputy Manager you will be expected to work some early mornings, evenings and every other weekend.
National Star is committed to promote the highest standards of care, health and wellbeing and if you believe you have the attributes to lead and support the provision and team to achieve this then we would welcome your application.
This role is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
