Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Job Coach to work across Work Outcomes programmes.

Joining our experienced team of learning support staff, job coaches and teaching team you will develop and deliver work outcomes that achieve the best results for each individual student, working primarily with learners on Work Outcomes programmes, which may include Supported Internships, General Work and Adult Employability programmes, though there may also be a requirement to work with other cross college learners.

We are very proactive in supporting our learners to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills that enable them to secure sustainable paid employment or voluntary work on leaving college.  We have opportunities both with external organisations and within the college and this specific role will focus on supporting students to manage a small college store, including taking responsibility for end of day reconciliation. offering a great opportunity for students to build practical work, academic and lifelong learning skills.

The broader aspects of the role will require you to deliver work-based workshops and you will work with learners to assess skills and aspirations related to employment to ensure all work placements are sustainable and meet the needs of individuals, using job carving, Systematic Instruction Training and other employability models to enhance skill development.  The ability to network and liaise effectively with employer partners and broker outcomes is essential.
