Job description
Are you an innovative and creative professional inspired to use your skills to support people with complex physical and learning disabilities?
Join the highly respected team of Tutors at National Star.
It will be your job to devise and deliver high quality and stimulating learning for students with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (CLDD) such as Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Multi-Sensory Impairments and/ or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
Embedding RARPA principles in your teaching, you will use your excellent organisational skills to keep up to date your professional teaching records and students’ progress towards accreditation and learning outcomes linked to their Education Health and Care Plan and Primary Learning Goals.
It goes without saying that you will be a first-class communicator, who is creative, proactive and forward-thinking. Multi-disciplinary work will be critical in your role so that you can ensure students maximise their learning, boosting their independence and wellbeing to prepare them for life after college.
You will have experience of working with people with complex learning difficulties and disabilities such as ASC and/ or profound and multiple learning difficulties preferably in a learning support or teaching role. You will ideally hold a relevant level 3 or 4 professional qualification and ideally have or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification at Diploma level.
