Trainee Justin has the right ingredients for UCAS catering firm

A Steps into Work trainee is wowing in the kitchen after undertaking a work placement at a catering firm based at UCAS.
Justin Watts joined Charlton House Catering in November 2015 and from the start of his placement had the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of food preparation.
The pace of the kitchen at first proved challenging, but through determination and the support of his colleagues, Justin soon grew in confidence. He is now a valuable member of the team and continues to learn the skills vital for employment.
Charlton House Catering said, ‘He’s really enjoying his time with us and we’re most definitely enjoying working with him. We’re very pleased we offered Justin the catering apprenticeship. He’s helpful, talented and extremely motivated.’
Dean Griffiths, Head of Facilities at UCAS, emphasised how Justin has become a key member of the team.
‘Justin seems to have settled into working life really well and he’s proved to be very popular among UCAS staff. I have always found Justin to be professional, competent and personable.’
