Join us for a special open day on Wednesday 13 July as part of the launch of our Building a Brighter Future Appeal.
Tours can be booked online here for 10am, 11am and 3.30pm. They will last approximately 45 minutes, after which we will welcome you into our marquee for a hot or soft drink and a piece of cake.
On the tour you will have the opportunity to see first-hand almost every aspect of our work, such as student-run social enterprises, art and theatre activities, therapy suites and a student residence. You will also be able to visit the building site of the new specialist residential accommodation we are building at Ullenwood, funded by our Building a Brighter Future Appeal.
Residential accommodation is critical to National Star students, enabling them to live more independently and develop strong life skills. We urgently need to replace older facilities in Gloucester that no longer meet all the needs of the young people with complex disabilities who depend on us. We plan to build new accommodation at Ullenwood so that young people, who need very high levels of support due to complex disabilities, can easily access all of our specialist support teams and resources on-site.
We are confident of £4.5m in funding towards this £6m project, and the launch of our Building a Brighter Future Appeal this July aims to raise the final £1.5m by the summer of 2023.
