Employers register to attend our Reverse Jobs Fair and help us to bridge the disability employment gap and support National Star students to get their first job after college.
The number of disabled people in work since the COVID-19 pandemic has dropped according to the latest Government figures. Only 4.8% of adults with a learning disability are in employment (NHS Digital, 2022).
That’s why National Star’s Work Outcomes team would like employers to take part in a Reverse Job Fair on Wednesday 20 March between 10am – 12 noon at National Star, Ullenwood.
The concept behind the Jobs Fair is simple. National Star students with visible and invisible disabilities will create displays and presentations that showcase their talents. Employers will be able to move around the tables to introduce themselves.
The students have ambitions to secure roles in catering and hospitality, IT, administration, facilities management, warehousing and more. Do you have a role, now or in the future, that may be suitable for one of them?
We know you’ll be bowled over by the enthusiasm and talents of the students. Join us on the day and take the next step in tackling your recruitment headache.
There’s free parking on site and our social enterprise StarBistro will be providing refreshments on the day. RSVP to workprogrammes@nationalstar.org by Friday 8 March.
