Preparing students for life after college is something that National Star is passionate about.

This year’s Community Taster Month in May, organised by the Transition Support team, is packed full of lots of exciting activities, from karate sessions, adult discos, cinema visits, careers advice sessions and trips to community farms and sensory spaces.

Priority will be given to second and third year students, but every student is invited to express an interest in taking part.

Navigating life after college can be an exciting, but bewildering time for families, carers, and young people.

The Community Taster Month is designed to ease the transition worries that many students may be facing and ensure they leave National Star feeling confident and excited for the future.

Although the majority of activities are taking place in Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire and Worcestershire, the Transition Support team has selected activities that they know are run in other parts of the country. It is hoped there are taster sessions that the majority of students could consider for their life after college.
