Work placements

Our work placements help students to move paid or voluntary work when they leave college.

Job coaches arrange work placements. They know lots of businesses and organisations who want to help our students. Students tell us what they want to do and we find an employer who can help. We know employers across the country who can offer placements.

It is normal for students to feel a little anxious at the start of their work placement. That’s why, when on their work placements job coaches help students to settle in and learn the ropes.

Students then do more things for themselves as they grow in confidence. Work placements are usually half a day a week, for four to six weeks.
