Long-service awards dinner to thank hardworking staff
A stunning celebration of our long-serving staff took place at our first ever long-service awards dinner on Friday 21 October.
More than 50 members of staff with almost 1,000 years of combined service joined us for the event, giving us the opportunity to thank them for their hard work and dedication to National Star over the years.
One member of staff said: ‘Can I just say what a fantastic evening, I was so nervous and out of my comfort zone, but so glad I came and collected my award. Thank you for making me feel welcome and at ease, here’s to the next 15!’
Retired nurse Jean Inch said: ‘I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching everyone receive their certificates. It was an honour to have worked before retiring for such an amazing and inspirational charity. Seeing everyone last night made me realise how blessed I was to have been part of such an amazing team of people.’
