New charity shop for National Star

Two charity shop volunteers in front of a display of books

Located at 35 Hucclecote Road, the Gloucester charity shop will open its doors on Saturday 31 October. It will sell a range of donated goods including clothing for men, women and children, household items, toys and books. It will also offer a variety of student-made goods for shoppers looking for original gifts and greetings cards.

‘We can’t wait to open our doors and introduce the high street to National Star,’ said Val Hammond, Charity Retail Operations Manager. ‘This is a great way to raise awareness of all that we do and bring in vital income for our charity.

‘The shop will also provide valuable work experience placements to students who want to develop their communication and customer service skills. Please let your friends and family know and help us spread the word!’

Anyone who would like to volunteer in the shop is encouraged to contact Val Hammond
