Wagada is latest corporate supporter to ‘go far’ for National Star

Digital marketing experts, Wagada Digital, are the latest business to get behind National Star’s fundraising by naming the not-for-profit as its Charity of the Year.
The business specialises in all aspects of the digital marketing mix, including Social Media Marketing, SEO and PPC. The team is also a Gold Hubspot Partner Agency, helping businesses align their sales, marketing and customer service teams within a single platform. They decided to support National Star after hearing students from the specialist college speak from the heart at a festive fundraising event in December.
Now the team, led by charity ambassador Emily Redman, are planning a series of fundraising events throughout 2023 to raise money for young people with complex disabilities.
‘We were all so moved after hearing the students speak at the Circle2Success Christmas event. We have not previously supported a disability charity, and as some of us have family members living with a disability, it seemed like a perfect partnership for 2023,’ said Emily.
Wagada team members are already planning to put their best foot forward to take part in this year’s Sunrise Walk on 26 March and are also pledging to get fit and active by taking part in the ‘Go far, be a star’ challenge. Going the distance on lunchtime walks, gym sessions on the treadmill and horse riding are all up for discussion. Their target is to cover 190 miles as a team, from February until July 2023. This is the distance from their Cheltenham office to their flagship St Albans office.
They will also be supporting the charity’s digital and marketing specialists and intend to organise a mass donation day to support National Star’s charity retail teams. Wagada staff members are already regular customers at National Star’s Honeybourne store as it is a short walk from the company’s Cheltenham offices at Festival House in the town centre.
‘We are incredibly grateful that the young, dynamic team at Wagada are so enthusiastic about supporting National Star in 2023. They are full of bright ideas about how they can support our work and we are looking forward to getting to know their team as the year progresses,’ said Head of Fundraising Catrin Viveash.
