Working in partnership with employers is an important part of National Star. These relationships enable us to achieve a number of things in accordance with our vision for a world where people with disabilities are given the same opportunities as their non-disabled peers.

Locally in Gloucestershire, many employers provide work experience opportunities for young people at the college. This is usually for a short, intensive period of time, and enables them to build their skills and confidence as part of their learning programme. For more information please contact the Work Experience team on 01242 527631 ext. 2242.

Locally and nationally, a number of key employers partner with us to provide valuable opportunities for learners taking our Supported Internship and traineeship programmes. These are longer, more intensive workplace based programmes designed to support young people with disabilities in entering paid work. For more information please contact our Programme Manager on 01242 527631 ext. 2352.

National Star is also a provider of training, learning and consultancy for employers, offering a comprehensive range of specialist workshops and training to help them develop skills and knowledge around disability. For more information please contact the CPD team on 01242 527631 ext. 7321.

Many companies and organisations also partner with us to help raise money for National Star. This support can be anything from a fun and one-off event, selecting us as their ‘charity of the year,’ purchasing a table at our Star Ball, or regular giving. For more information please contact the Fundraising team on 01242 527631.
