The Leonardo Partnership Project, 2009 – 2011

European partners worked together on the Leonardo Partnership Project to improve self employment skills for people with disabilities through social enterprises. Over two years, partners in Sweden, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Turkey, France and the UK visited each other’s countries and studied local social enterprises (or the equivalent) that employed and were managed by people with disabilities. The project collected case studies and designed a toolkit to identify best practice in establishing such organisations across Europe. Click here to view the results of the programme.
