Specialist disability awareness training in India, 2018 – 2019

Working with the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Skills Council for People with Disabilities in India, we designed and delivered a series of training programmes for vocational trainers and master trainers. Training was designed to up-skill trainers in working with vocational trainees with differing disabilities in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Calcutta. The training included the teaching approaches and specialist pedagogy required to ensure an inclusive learning experience.  A specialist course in the use of assistive technology was delivered to teachers, parents and learners.

Further work with DFID is continuing as well as work with specific organisations in India, including Big Bazzar retail chain, PVR Cinemas and Lemon Tree Hotels.
