The Star Center, 2011

Based in Tennessee, USA, this is a demonstration, resource and training centre that ensures people with disabilities are able to maximise their potential for independence and employment. It does this through assistive technology, assistive aids and support services. A partnership in 2011 funded by LSIS saw the development of an online portal for sharing best practice in the use of assistive technology for professionals working with learners with disabilities.
