Training and Consultancy in India, 2019 – 2020

Working for the Government’s Department for International Development under the Skills for Prosperity funding, National Star has been working with organisations across India to upskill education and training organisations, working with learners with disabilities.

During 2019 / 2020 five members of staff delivered training in Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta. This included training on Differentiated Assessment, Assistive and Enabling Technology and Mindful Employment. Three members of staff worked with the Gujarat Government to establish an inclusive training institute in Rajkot, which will become a centre of excellence.

National Star also worked with Ashoka University in New Delhi and The Institute for Business Management in Bangalore, as well as a specialist school in Chandigarh in Northern India.

National Star is currently building an online learning programme called Developing Inclusive Practice for the National Skills Development Corporation to deliver guidance on inclusive education across India.
