National Star scoop prestigious Natspec award

Colleagues from National Star at The Heart of Worcestershire College are celebrating after scooping a prestigious innovation in education award.

Colleagues from National Star at The Heart of Worcestershire College are celebrating after scooping a prestigious innovation in education award.

The team were recognised by Natspec, the membership association for organisations that offer specialist further education and training for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, for the innovative way in which they have collaborated with The Heart of Worcestershire College to establish a provision in Worcester.

Students at the provision are making significant progress and parents have been full of praise for the team and how they are educating young people with disabilities.

After the award win National Star’s Chief Executive Lynette Barrett said: ‘National Star has a national reputation for its innovative approach, and we are delighted that our unique partnership with The Heart of Worcestershire College has been acknowledged as leading the way in delivering specialist education at the heart of local communities. Thanks to the team on the ground whose expertise is making such a difference to the students attending National Star at The Heart of Worcestershire College.’
