Our Moving and Handling Refresher Course is designed for professionals who have previously completed the full-day training on moving and handling of people. Whether it’s to stay compliant with company policy or to refresh your knowledge, or to learn how to handle new risks, activities, or equipment that may arise in your work environment.
This course is essential for maintaining high standards of care. In accordance with Skills for Care, it’s advised to refresh your training at least every three years, especially if you haven’t undertaken additional training within that period.

Not only is Wendy skilled at teaching Makaton to staff, her years of practical experience working alongside our students means she brings real-world insight into how Makaton is used every day, and brings a wealth of expertise from the specialist education field. This combination of hands-on experience and expert training ensures a rich, practical learning experience for all participants.
The aim of the workshop is to teach attendees the Level 1 signs and symbols and to support the attendees to learn and use them.
