Help us keep our promise
The coronavirus pandemic has made us all reflect on the fragility of life and the importance of looking after our family, friends and communities.
Here at National Star we have kept our promise to students and their families that we would remain open and do everything in our power to keep everyone safe, well and happy. But it doesn’t stop there.
We need to ensure we will be here for future generations of young people with complex disabilities. Gifts in Wills are an important part of this and we are heartened by the increasing numbers of people who are letting us know that they intend to leave a gift in their Will to our charity.
We have recently been contacted by one of our wonderful supporters who has informed us that he will be leaving us a gift in his Will. He is a keen walker, and came across our charity whilst enjoying a walk on Leckhampton Hill, one of the beautiful walks near our Ullenwood campus.
‘I fancied the idea of supporting a small number of charities and I liked the idea of helping to continue your good work, especially after watching National Star on television. Many families would not be able to manage without your intervention,’ he said.
‘There are tax efficient advantages to leaving a charitable legacy too and I was keen to make the most of them,’ he added.
Even a modest gift could make a huge difference to our charity, allowing us to keep our promise to future generations of young people with complex disabilities. The promise that we will be there for them in the future and there for them when they need us most.
