StarTechnology makes learning accessible
National Star’s external assistive technology service is going from strength to strength.
Launched two years ago, StarTechnology utilises National Star’s knowledge of disability and specialist technology to offer solutions that improve accessibility. These include assessments, training and consultations. The service is provided to schools, colleges and individuals.
To improve student access to learning, Farmor’s School wanted to trial a wide variety of software, such as screen readers and dictation programmes.
StarTechnology helped both staff and students try everything they needed, ensuring that the school had the guidance it needed to make the best decisions for the individuals who would benefit from the service.
National Star would like to hear from schools, businesses and care providers to discuss how StarTechnology can improve access to IT through technology.
