StarTraining wins prestigious award
StarTraining has won a national award for its outstanding training and skills development programmes.
The National Star team is one of 34 businesses to receive a Princess Royal Training Award and will attend a prestigious awards ceremony at St James’s Palace on 24 November. More than 110 organisations applied for the inaugural awards, which were launched by the City & Guilds Group in January 2016.
Chris Jones, City & Guilds Group Chief Executive, said: ‘Excellence doesn’t happen by chance. In today’s uncertain economy, more than ever employers must align investment in training to the objectives of their business. ‘Whether they’ve addressed a skills gap, improved productivity or developed new leaders to grow their businesses, the awarded organisations deserve to be recognised for their achievements.’
Every year StarTraining delivers a wide range of specialist staff development and training to more than 800 members of National Star. Ofsted inspectors noted that staff have access to an excellent training programme, which is tailored to provide personalised training reflecting individual people’s needs.
The Care Quality Commission said that ‘the induction programme was vital to establishing a staff team who had the skills and knowledge to carry out their roles and responsibilities effectively’.
StarTraining also delivers health, social care and education training externally.
