Scott House, Ullenwood Campus

Scott House, named after a longstanding National Star supporter, is a new student residence at Ullenwood. Opening in September 2023, the single storey home from home has six ensuite bedrooms.

Designed with the needs of students with complex disabilities in mind, the home has a large accessible kitchen, sensory space and sociable lounge dining area. All the bedrooms have overhead tracking to make it easy for students to transfer out of their wheelchairs.

Some of the bedrooms have patio doors which open out onto a pretty landscaped garden.

Wide corridors make it easy for students to move around their home and there is plenty of room to store specialist equipment.

We consulted students on the interior design and they have chosen some beautiful, calming colours for paintwork throughout.

Scott House is connected by a central entrance hall with nearby Bradbury House, another new student residence due to open soon.
