Careers with us
The young adults with disabilities we support at National Star are currently looking for new care and support workers and nurses to join us.
There is no such thing as a typical student or long-term resident at National Star – that’s what makes starting your career at our charity so interesting and varied. We have students and residents with autism and learning disabilities, many with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Some are non-verbal and use communication aids such as AAC devices while others have physical disabilities which means they rely upon a wheelchair to get around. All of the young people we support have huge personalities and like to have fun as they work towards achieving their aspirations.

Can I volunteer?
Safeguarding and the workloads of our frontline care, therapy and teaching teams mean that we are not in a position to offer work experience or volunteering placements at National Star.
However, we welcome volunteers willing to support our fundraising team or those wishing to gain retail experience in our charity shops.
