As a national charity with our head office in Gloucestershire, you’ll be unsurprised to know that we are one of the county’s largest employers and have a workforce of more than 1,000 (and counting) with staff undertaking roles in finance to fundraising, site services to social care. We’re a sociable bunch and organise a number of events, from fireworks to a summer party, for staff to get to know their colleagues.
Plans for growth
We have ambitious plans for growth, particularly in Hereford and South Wales and are continuing to expand our services – including our long-term living accommodation, LiftTraining programme and Steps into Work programme. – around the country.
Our roles can be based at a number of locations, including one of our residences in Cheltenham or Gloucester and our college campus at Ullenwood, as well as a number of places around the country.

Investing in your career
We believe in training and developing our staff, with everyone undergoing a comprehensive induction programme and follow-up training. National Star is an accredited NVQ / Diploma Centre, and offers an NVQ / Diploma programme in Health and Social Care (levels 2 and 3) as well as Leadership in Health and Social Care (level 5). We have also recently launched two new leadership training programmes for middle and senior managers.
